Interlace Residential Complex, Singapore--
Designed by Ole Scheeren of OMA, this building concept breaks away from typical high-rise Singapore apartment buildings. It’s a hive structure, with 31 blocks stacked on top of one another in such a way that every one of the six-story blocks receives light and fresh air. The open spaces that are created by this unique layout are used for urban sky gardens: lush green areas where residents can sow, tend and reap while still enjoying the convenience of living in the city.
