Daniel Libeskind Green Tower, New York City--

One difficult aspect of designing buildings is the need to stay one step ahead of the public. While this building’s prominent sky gardens may seem futuristic today, by the time the building is through the approvals phase and ready to be constructed the public may in fact be ready to embrace the idea of lush, green spaces in their living areas. To be fair, many already do love the idea – and Libeskind’s first NYC building will allow them to have their own little piece of nature in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world.
