Howeler and Yoon Eco-Pods--

With much of the world firmly in the grasp of an economic downturn, many of the in-progress construction projects in Boston simply stopped. There wasn’t enough money to finish, so they were left as they were, often nothing more than skeletal frames of buildings-to-be. Bostonian architecture firm Howeler and Yoon decided that the building skeletons could actually be useful, so they propose outfitting them with Eco-Pods: algae garden capsules that would be used to produce biofuel. Robotic arms would rotate the pods to ensure that each one received adequate sun exposure. Up until the robotic arms bit, it sounds like a doable – and beneficial – plan.
