World’s Largest Green Wall, Japan--
The Bio-Lung was constructed for the 2005 Aichi Expo in Japan and is thought to be the world’s largest living wall. The wall was 150 meters long and up to 15 meters high, and consisted of squares of hemp canvas seeded with various types of plants. The name Bio-Lung was meant to remind viewers that large expanses of plants can be a simple and beautiful way to purify urban air.
