Not nature preserves per se, but both are used regularly as parks. Rundle Park in the city's north east has a golf course built on the landfill. Closer to the city centre, Gallagher Park is the site of the Edmonton Ski Club during the winter. In the summer months, the Edmonton Folk Festival uses the site as well.

Edmonton, Alberta’s North Saskatchewan River Valley contains at least two landfill sites that are not public parks.
