Cadillac Ranch Postmodern Desert Sculpture
While cars are not, themselves, really ‘of the Earth’ in any meaningful way there is something about this weird work of art that makes it seem (and causes it to be often academically considered) as if it were a work of land art like any other. They are aligned with pyramids in Egypt, a perhaps sarcastic nod to other great works of earthen art. There is something inevitably Stonehengesque about them as well. Perhaps to future generations these ever-more-spray-painted cars will eventually be unidentifiable as man-made objects and seem like stone themselves. (Source)
