Niagara Falls Hydroelectric Power Generation

Niagara Falls Hydroelectric Power Generation

Niagara Falls is more than just a landmark and a stunning spot along the Canadian and United States border – it also is a massive power generator. It started out slow with locals drawing power for mills, tanning and mining. Soon the lights around the falls and the local town were also powered by the falls. Today nearly 75% of the flowing water is diverted through tunnels and used for its hydroelectric power-generating potential.
